The waterfall was beautiful when we got there, but the trek in is not for the faint of heart. Missing banisters on the steps down added to the safety concerns. I'm not sure I would do it again.

This is a fun and fairly strenuous day out. You need to be suitably clothed with long trousers (with swim shorts under) and good shoes. There are several ways to go about this but we went to a restaurant in the centre of El called ******. They have a car park and from there it is a short walk to... More

We went on ATVs. We got the tour from the hotel we were staying at. Before going up we ate at a ranch, the food was great! Please the men and women who do the guide with the horses!!! they deserve it!!! While we on our horse they guide on foot which is a lot.

We booked to go here through our tour operator which involved a load of other activities with a visit to this waterfall and horse ride included. The actual waterfall is amazing and the pool underneath is beautiful but... The horse ride through the jungle was terrible first you are given a horse and a guide. The horses look really malnourished... More

The day we visited, the stream and waterfall was in full flow... it was truly the most amazing thing i have experienced.... we went for a swim and did not want to come out... the water felt so fresh and cool.. I absolutely loved every second I spent there... was sad when we had to head out. I would recommend... More

We thought we would get there by car. It turned out we had to park our car for free, where we rented horses, with a guide for each horse. We went down and up a trail, crossing the river twice for about 30 minutes. We then left the horses and walk down, stair like, the rest of the way to... More

We did this tour through AC Vacations from Bahia Principe Cayacoa. I don't mean this in any rude way - this tour is NOT meant for out of shape people. All of these kind of people struggled in our tour. The horses do much of the work, but there are still steps which I found all of them struggled with.... More

Here is a Beutifull Waterfall, in the Limón Town of Samaná, Dominican Republic. There are dozens of tours agents in there motocycles, all over town, looking for tourist. Once you arrived to where the hourses are, that is where the adventure begins. The parking is 100 pesos for the car. They will try to rip you off telling you that the... More

Salto El limon was an experience like no other, being able to jump from the rocks into the river was amazing, and the view was incredible. Definitely one of the most gorgeous destinations in all of the Dominican Republic. If you are looking for a guide, Juan is the best guy to take, one of the nicest and most helpful... More
