With my lovely Lady & her son of 12 we went whale watching this past February in Samaná Bay & took advantage of being on the peninsula to visit precious Rincon Beach. “Playa Rincon” means corner beach in Dominican Spanish & it really is a...More

Stunning beach but it took a long time to get there. I am not 100% sure it was worth it. There are some one beaches in dom rep that may not be as good but easier to get to and just as quiet

This is a gorgeous beach and mostly quiet. White sands and pristine waters make for a perfect stay. Also it is not too deep. We arrived there by boat from Playa Playita in Las Galeras. The trip is breathtaking. You see many different beaches from...More

Playa Rincon takes some effort to get to--we took a boat, our friends got a ride. The beach is busy at each end--the east or south end has some shacks and tents for food and services, massage, souvenirs...the west or north end has more of...More

This is another hidden gem at the Dominican Republic, near Las Galeras town. To get there is about 30 minutes drive, but once there, this place is really amazing. The place is really clean and very spacious, and in sunny day is really spectacular. The...More

Yesterday we went in a private luxury van to this small part of paradise. We were the first to arrive at 0900 hours, so we had the beach and the ocean to ourselves. The sand is the fine powder and white as winter gold. The...More

Perhaps one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in DR. I live in the Dominican Republic and this beach is up there with Playa Grande, and Bahia de Las Aguilas.

This is the best beach in Samana, which is to say, the Dominican Republic. At least for just lounging at the beach and taking it easy. There may be better beaches for kite surfing for example, but for lounging around, this is the best. The...More

There are two sides to this beach area. One side is calm and the other side is very rough. Even in the calm area I don't think the snorkelling would be great there, there is no reef. Hope this info helps you. Worth going to... More
