Superb views of both Caribbean and Atlantic seas and coasts of Grenada. Alice is full of wonderful information and more than happy to share both history and personal experience and views. Both oldies and teenagers enjoyed the tour and information, especially seeing the giant buttercups!

We visited the fort on an excursion from the cruise ship Balmoral. Unfortunately our guide (the bus driver) did not accompany us so to get an idea of the history we had to link up with another group. As the fort is on an headland there are stunning views of the surrounding area and of the cruise ships in the... More

Make sure you go with a guide to get to know a bit about the history of fort Fredrick. The view from this point is amazing. You can see down to the Marina in St George. It's about a 20 min drive from St Georges town in St George parish

Most people will take time out(I hope) to visit Fort George but this is on the higher ground above St George's on the islands ridge. The benefit is that you can see both sides of the Southern part of Grenada so great views. There are all the usual touristy spots selling stuff and in our case a steel band playing... More

Glenroy from Gifted Taxi took the time to educate all of us about the history of this place. Everyone should visit and wonder these grounds.

Great to get up here for the surrounding views, but apart from that not much else to see in the grounds. Morning time is probably best time to visit. Next door is Fort Matthew (short walk away downhill) which is/was basically a small military barracks which is very run down, over-grown in parts & uncared for I preferred Fort George... More

Went to visit this fort and were surprised to see there was no fee on the gate (low season) but pleased to be able to enter the fort never the less to read about it's history, see the fort and view over St. George's. Good visit for families though be careful with young children as it isn't particularly 'safe'.

The fort is much like others in the Caribbean, but provides a nice view of the island, city and beach

If you want the best views (my opinion) of Grenada go up to Fort Frederick. Amazing views from up there. Be sure to talk to people to get the history of the fort and the "hospital" near by and the great stories you will hear will give you those kind of memories you travel for.

Fort Frederick was the first stop on the Sunsation Tours Southern Flavours tour and is interesting for the views of the island. There is a little shop and toilets and information boards. As it is high up there is a nice breeze on a warm day. Our tour guide was very informative which made the trip more interesting.
