We took this trail instead of 1 1/2 hours it was 3 hours instead. The trail was very muddy, bridges are broken and not much of trail. Also you don't see the lake til the end of the trip.

steep trails, very cool, with plenty green trees. love to hear the crackling of the monkeys and looking at the clear sky and the large body of water beneath - the lake surrounded by the green grass and the fishes swmming.

Totally different lake, crazy flowers. Looks like Jurassic Park kind of my friends thought, like a dinasour would come out. Huge Palms, and lush foliage. Peaceful. Cooler than down on the lower parts of island for sure.

We visited the park in late October, 2011, and were disappointment to find the trail around the lake in a state of nearly-impassable neglect. It was completely overgrown, with 2” deep mud right from the trailhead leaving the parking area (wear good waterproof hiking shoes)....More
