My family and I visited this historical place and I did not regret any moment of it. We drove to Palais Sans Soucis and we got a guide to take us around and give us some historical background of the place. After that, we went...More

Wow, this is a "can't miss" place to visit if you are in Haiti! The views are terrific, and the history itself is phenomenal. A couple hints and tips, no pun intended. You WILL be overwhelmed with the number of personal guides, horses, and gift...More

You start off at San Souci and from the rear of San Souci begins the trail to Citadelle. Please be advised that this is quite a hike. If you are experienced, be prepared to hike 7 whole winding miles. The mountain twists and turns quite...More

Black Haitians built this incredible structure in the clouds (Yes. we have a picture looking down into a rainbow.) It is entirely intact and accessible to the average (chubby) American only by horseback. I got down off the horse and tried to walk. I made...More

I've been numerous times over the years and the Ministry of Tourism continues to improve the site. Private/rental car allows you to stop at base-see the first palace and then drive up to second parking lot. Unless you are in excellent shape and really enjoy...More

I was there earlier in the year and you need to pay an entrance fee, and whilst you're not forced to take a guide it is strongly encouraged that you do. There's no facilities to do so. I think it would be unwise and... More
