This is a neat place if you know something about Bob Marley. This is the place he was born and raised but they have made almost the entire place into a tourist place that rakes in the dollars! Entry fee is $25PP in USD. You can buy gifts here, as well as beer/soda/juice and blunts as big as a mans... More

A cynical exploitation of Bobs memory, non stop selling, gift shop, bar then sauces! You have to listen to a band, who were pretty good but of course your expected to tip. The guide was pretty nice, but obviously needed tipping! The guys at the gate looked a fearsome bunch and were selling weed, Aloe Vera etc. If your in... More

We were fortunate in our trip coinciding with the birthday of Bob Marley. We took a local transport - Jason from the line of cars in front of Bahia Principe. He was known to the guard shack and is licensed and professional. Jason drove us up to Nine Miles, where we got the tour. They currently had the house open... More

We visited on Bob Marley birthday so it was hectic. Its interesting and quite moving once you get into the mausoleum..but ! It was all too fast and crazy for me it would have been nice to have a bit longer to reflect and get a good look around instead of being rushed through.

Great time - there is a small shop and a bar. Lucky to have Captain Crazy tour guide - he is amazing and so funny! Loved the Reggae music from the live band too - brought back memories of my teens!! Could not stop laughing and sad to hear some of the stories! Well worth the trip!!

Having been an avid Bob Marley fan since I saw him play live in the early seventies this has always been a trip I planned to make one day, but on previous visits to Jamaica I had put it off because I thought it would be too touristy and it would not live up to what I expected of it...... More

Its a long and winding road up the mountain but worth it. We were lucky enough to get Captain Crazy as our tour guide, which made our experience even better. Take sweets for the local kids that hang around outside the coaches and are very grateful of a few dollars and some sweets!

The narrow bumpy road to drive up gave me a real feel of Jamaican life, the houses, the people and finally when you get up there, it's kinda commercial but worth to visit anyway, our guide was such a funny guide...I had bob Marley shot at the bar for 10USD which was kinda fun, you can also buy weed up... We had a private tour of the grounds. We learned so many things about The Legend Himself! The tour brought us thru his home, bedroom, and final resting place... Mount Zion was a site that brought so many emotions and I am so happy I had the opportunity to sit where Bob Marley did his meditation..The entertainment was done by... More

Felt I had to visit while in Jamaica. Wouldn't have bothered if I'd known just how commercial it was. We combined this with a morning visit to Dunns River Falls (very good). The journey up was interesting but going back was in the dark so boring. You can't get into the building without going through the shop (or get out).... More
