Always a staple now when I return to Negril. This beach is very pretty. Calm waters, even when the seas are rough, the bay protects and waves barely lap the beach. Great place to hang out and have drinks, play ball, get hair braided, shop. You name it, it's pretty cool. I love it and will always return. FYI, good... More

Nice beach with local shops along it (food, souvenirs, food, etc). Water calm so don't expect any body surfing. But very nice to hang out there for a day. I noted that water sports available near the RIU hotel (but I did not use).

Bloody Bay is a shorter stretch of beach outside of negril. It is calm a great for swimming and vendors walk to length of the beach with goods in tow. It is mostlt locals and hotel guest on the beach. It takes approx one hour to walk the length one way. There is considerable construction going on where a hotel... More

Bloody Bay was wiped out by all-inclusives about 10 years ago. The palms grew down to the beach, clothing was optional. It was blissfully secluded. Then the bulldozers came and now it costs $300/day to see it.

We stayed at Sunset at the Palms which has a private beach on Booby Bay.The beach is mainly shared with the Riu Resort. The waves are very calm, the water is crystal clear, but there are very few fish to see, if you snorkel. There are a few lobster traps along the beach. You can buy fresh lobster directly from... For complete details please read my recent review on HotelClub Riu Negril where we stayed. Highlights of this beach included: - Nice long beach that raps around most of the bay with resorts on all sides - Protected from the main ocean further out, so swimming is a pleasure - Nice warm water to swim - gradually tapering out to... Not much to see here. RIU beach that had murky waters and dirty beach along with the beach where you could buy anything...7mile is better.

Walking along the beach in early morning was a favorite and visiting with the locals at times was amusing. Sometimes not so much. I did like the musicians walking along the beach and playing their reggae. It's a place I plan on visiting again. Enjoyable.

Bloody Bay is a great place to snorkel and sail, the waters are warm and inviting. Because of the way the cove is shaped, you don’t get a lot of high waves coming in so it makes a great place to learn how to sail. The water is deep and clear with allows you to see all kinds of sea... More
