A historical church which witnessed significant happenings in Jamaica. It was the church of the plantorcracy during slavery. For such an important edifice, still in active use...restoration for posterity and national value is a must.

Nice view in the city. In the Port Antonio downtown it's possible to get an idea of historical architecture of the country. But, all most buildings are in bad conditions of conservation, and a trip to the downtown is not so interesting and confortable to...More

Christ Church is situated on a slight rise with views of the harbour, in well kept grounds. The memorials inside the church give an insight into the lives of some of the areas 19th century inhabitants.

We went there for a Christmas holiday service and everyone was so welcoming. It really is a lovely church. I loved it when the electricity went out and we all held candles.
