This beach is very small and costs $1000 Jamaican to get in and then you have to pay for a lounge chair. Filled with tourists - Winifreds beach is better

We went recommended by our hotel and with a free pass. The cove is small but delightful backed by attractive gardens. For us there was just the right amount of surf (slightly scary but not dangerous) and the lifeguard was reassuring. We didn’t test the...More

We decided to skip the blue lagoon and go straight to Frenchman’s cove. We were not upset with our choice! The river meets the ocean and the sands are beautiful. The swing is fun and the drinks and food are reasonably priced. It was $10...More

The cottages were ok. Prices not bad. We had a number of roaches in the kitchenette and bathrooms so when you're booking, ask them to pay special attention to cleaning. The cove was super. River dipping to beach balling fun... Food done to order.

It is beautiful, relaxing, safe, clean and cozy beach. It is worth 1000 JMD per person fee. A lovely sand beach, no deep water making very safe for family and kids. It is a great spot and is all enclosed in a sheltered cove. There...More

The $10 per person for admission may seem a little steep in price, however well worth it. Very quiet sandy beach with nice waves for body surfing. A gorgeous winding river flows right into the sea. Highly recommended is to bring a floatation device and...More

A beautiful beach which we did not think overpriced. Ready availability of good food and drink. Sunbeds at reasonable price. Toilets and etc. Parking at cost. Went twice and would return. Gets rather full but bearable on alternate Sundays and Mondays the interim weeks when...More

Crowded, small, expensive at $10 per person. I know it's highly recommended, but we wish we had skipped it. Parking is also terrible, and the gate guard was not overly friendly, and he lied to us about a few things to get us to come...More

its a pricey beach (US$10) compared to most, but it is gorgeous. there are more tourists here than locals, but don't let that put you off. it was still quiet and its worth seeing. there is a restaurant and bar here, again, pricier than other...More

No surfing here. The beach is magical and lovely. It is really an estuary that is divided in half by sand. One side, from the mountains is brisk, clear to perfection and much cooler than its brother, the ocean. The ocean... More

We showed up. We stayed at Goblin Hill and drove over to Frenchman's Cove. As I mentioned in my review, you must pay $10/person. Which we did, but only stayed about 5-10 minutes. Overall we found the people operating... More
