This location is absolutely stunning. It was walking distance from our hotel but we drove because the road was not that good. My first impression was not good because as we pulled in, we were surrounded by sketchy people who surrounded our car and pointed where to go. One of them rode his bike down a long lane and we... Blue lagoon is awesome. Amazing water everywhere. We first planned to just go on our own and hang out at the blue lagoon by ourselves. However, the second we were dropped off, we were IMMEDIATELY approached at the head of the trail by a local. So please be expected to be approached by locals that want to take you on... More

I loved the lagoon there is no doubt it is beautiful place not a good experience. Wish the government would keep the locals from hassling you. I find this frustrating. I want to be able to go there (or anywhere) and do my own thing and not to have to fight my way to the lagoon, I don't want to... More

We just wanted to walk down to the lagoon from our hotel for a quick dip with our one year old baby. It were pestered constantly to take a boat trip even after politely refusing. Nice swim off the pier, not much to see. We would have taken a raft ride to see more maybe if less pressured. Didn't see... More

We went to see the Blue Lagoon with friends during our visit of Jamaica. It's true, that it's impressive to think about how deep it is, but that's about it. It just looks like a deep water, where you can swim. At the same moment, when you come there they take you on the boat and also drop you to... More

this is the only part of my trip to jamaica that i found underwhelming. it's definitely worth a visit to check off your bucket list, but 1.5 hours there was more than enough for me. the water is both freezing cold and warm in different parts, so you have to keep moving around to find the warm parts, but it... Worth to go to see and that's it. We use to travel by ourselves without agencies, so you can have affordable price and safe money as Jamaica is not cheap country.

We jumped into a body of beautiful turquoise water. It was both cold from the water flowing from the river and warm from the sun. We did not go on the boat tour to the private island. Across the lake was a small beach and bar that played music. On the walk down to the Lagoon there are a few... More

A lovely spot off the road ..there is an entry fee .. we had a local taxis driver who knew where to take us the entry fee etc A man asked if we would like to take a traditional boat ride .. this cost $25 each took 45min or so the water was very blue and crystal clear There other... More
