I would recommend using your money to reach the tiny beach on the Blue Lagoon, instead of engaging into reaching Monkey Island. There is nothing particular to do in Monkey Island, and the trip is overly expensive, whereas for far less you can enjoy the tranquility of the Blue Lagoon Beach.

awesome colors in the water, great for family fun, very deep water so you have to be excellent swimmer to take plunge but well worth the adventure.

Blue Lagoon is BEAUTIFUL! It's one of those places where you go and just chill and look at the beauty surrounding you. We had the option to do the raft and boat thing but just decided, like many people who were there, to just looked out into the lagoon with amazement. It's that beautiful and captivating. It's beauty in the... More

We checked the website prior so was surprised to drive for hours only to discover the restaurant overlooking the lagoon was closed. Advised by locals that it was recently purchased by Chin & everything had been closed. Didn't bother staying to get ripped off for a boat ride when we were all starving after a long drive from Ochi.

The Lagoon was perfect! Quiet and Private There are canal trips across the lagoon and very friendly neighbors. There is a bar if you want a party

Please note that access to the Blue Lagoon is free! It's downhill and normally boat and raft captains will be at the top of the hill trying to get you to pay for their services. A boat ride may run US$15 - US$20 depending on the number of persons. There is no beach at the foot of the hill, you... More

The blue lagoon is a dream come true, so idylic and peaceful. far from the droves of the beaches. Take a bamboo boat to monkey island and relax in serenity.

This location is absolutely stunning. It was walking distance from our hotel but we drove because the road was not that good. My first impression was not good because as we pulled in, we were surrounded by sketchy people who surrounded our car and pointed where to go. One of them rode his bike down a long lane and we... Blue lagoon is awesome. Amazing water everywhere. We first planned to just go on our own and hang out at the blue lagoon by ourselves. However, the second we were dropped off, we were IMMEDIATELY approached at the head of the trail by a local. So please be expected to be approached by locals that want to take you on... More

I loved the lagoon there is no doubt it is beautiful place not a good experience. Wish the government would keep the locals from hassling you. I find this frustrating. I want to be able to go there (or anywhere) and do my own thing and not to have to fight my way to the lagoon, I don't want to... More
