Colorful town with historic buildings. The church from 1800 is a walk into the past. Drive the streets to see the old houses !

I don't have words to describe the scenery in San German, PR. It's a historic town and I was so glad I went to see it on my last day in PR. The cobblestone street, the churches is a sight to see. It is the second oldest colonial place besides Old San Juan. I didn't get to see the two... More

Don't visit on M-T-W, bec many things will be closed. Go on Thurs-Sun. The architecture is a unique blend of PR and Spanish. The town centro is hilly. There are several museums. The history of the town is interesting. Go to the old monastery, which is now a museum, and you will find out why this town is located where... More

I carry this town in my soul. Its part of me. The beauty and the antique ambience, let you be in peace. The full moon nights you can enjoy sit in front of the Porta Coeli. The architecture is so pretty like another Old San Juan. Its a safe place to live.

I would not drive out of my way to go here. We were there on a Tuesday and almost nothing was open to go into, including the Tourist Office. If you like to just walk around and gaze at buildings it is fine. Neither church was open. Recommended restaurants were not open. We finally ate hotdogs from a street vendor!... More

A nice quiet town, directions in and out of the centre of town are pretty poor but once you've found the centre it's pretty easy to find your way around.

I love to walk around San German to see the beautiful Spanish architecture. You can climb the stairs to the Porta Coeli Church and then see the Church of San Germán Auxerre of San Germán which is in the historic register.

Very charming city the people are very friendly. The colonial flavor of the city deserve a day trip to the museums and historic points. If your driving get ready for narrow roads and high hills. The history of Porta Coeli is incredible.
