It was a beautiful experience hiking up to the top, you can feel the history of Los Morillos Lighthouse. We did not go down to playa scuscia however seeing the cliffs and lighthouse was well worth it.

The one thing that I wish we knew before coming here was about the ride into the park. It was a very bumpy road, we had rented a jeep and still felt all the holes in the the dirt. So bottom line if you have a SUV you'll be ok.
And lastly bring water, it's hot and dry in this region of the island.

The lighthouse is spectacular. I was there several times in the 90s and the one thing I will say is beware of the eroding landscape. I was running and being a goofball and my friends screamed “Jim stop!!!” And about 7 feet in front of me was a drop of about 1400 feet. I’m sure they’ve secured it better now, but just be aware of your surroundings when appreciating how beautiful Cabo Rojo lighthouse is.

This was breath-less view of the ocean! Words cannot describe how beautiful it but it is must-see experience!
When driving to the location, be careful of all the pot-holes though!

Nice short hike from parking lot, not too steep. View is great. The parking lot was very crowded. I had to park some ways from the parking lot on the entry road to find a spot. The salt flats were also interesting.

The lighthouse is definitely out of the way and finding the right trail to take to the the lighthouse once you get to the parking lot is tricky. But the pay off with the views are amazing and worth it. We parked our car in the first lot and walked up the road to the left...not the right thing to do if you want to just visit the lighthouse and cliffs, but it led us to a wonderful excluded beach. From there we backtracked and found a path up the hill that led to the lighthouse. It was closed on Sunday when we were there, but we enjoyed taking pictures of the lighthouse and taking in the wonderful views from the cliffs. It's definitely worth the time it takes to get there...just to take in the incredible views of the coastline.

MOST EXCELLENT. If you can afford the time and drive you will NOT be disappointed. Beautiful views, water, wildlife, flowers, lighthouse, cliffs, beach, exploration. This was just one highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico.

The lighthouse is worth the drive - the last mile is very bumpy and thank goodness the holes weren’t filled with water, took it slow with the Nissan Versa we rented, it very doable. The views from the lighthouse are spectacular. The trail is walkable, but rocky. We left our beach gear in the trunk & visited the gorgeous beach after the hike. Beach was not very busy and gorgeous. Well worth a trip.

If you get a chance to make it here, do. It is a beautiful place, the beach is not huge, but worth it. There is a natural bridge where you can get an awesome pic, but it does have a danger sign for a reason. I hope the earthquakes and tremors they have been suffering did not hurt the buildings in that area.

This is definitely off the main road and will require you to drive a few miles on a very bumpy dirt road, then park and walk uphill a bit. But, once you get there, the views are spectacular! Very windy and warm. No facilities and you could not go inside, but several walking trails and you can walk down to Playa Sucia and swim if you wish.

This is a beautiful area to visit. First stop is Las Salinas, where you can see how salt is made. There is an interpretation center where you will learn more. Also only place with restrooms. After that, you enter the park area where you can visit the lighthouse and have beautiful views of the caribbean sea. In the bay there is a small and beautiful beach. The water is warm and the sand is powder white. There are rocks and seaweed in the water, but I really don't mind and had a great swim.
Attention note: Paradise is not always perfect. Parking is very challenging. The road leading to this area is a dirt road and is very narrow and bumby. NO RESTROOMS. NO WATER. Beach is small and can get crowded. Worth the visit enjoy!
