We loved the beach at Palomino island, and the boat ride was not a bore we were a bit concerned about. It is a short and pleasant ride! The trails are fun for a short run. On the other side of the island there is a small hidden beach. You can enjoy interacting with iguanas and chickens running all over... More

The most beautiful beach I have ever visited. My husband and I walked the trails around the island and were rewarded with amazing ocean views on all sides. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery , read a book or sip on a drink. We did plenty of swimming and the warm clear water couldn't be beat !!

Reach it by boat provided by the hotel. The kids will love the ride. The beach is very safe, plenty of space to swim and snorkle. Towels are provided, no charge for beach umbrella and sitting. Food and drinks are available. Try the fish tacos and fritters.

This place is great is you don't go on a weekend. Avoid the local crowd by spending a weekday there. If you are going on a weekend I suggest going to Icacos. If there is no other option, go to hotel beach area; rent an umbrella, pair of chairs, and zip some piña coladas.

Private Island can get there by only boat. Stay at El Conquistador and have boat shuttles every 30 minutes.

I remember going to this island when I was very young (20+ years ago) and it was NOTHING like it is now. We'd go camping there and everything. It's now a super relaxing vacation spot. It's got a restaurant. Music on the weekends. Watersports. Even horses! It's got a little bit for everyone!

We took a 10 day trip around Puerto Rico. We booked only two hotels - the first night and the last night. Other than that, we "winged" it via trip advisor. My husband booked this for nights 8 and 9 - We had originally thought to take the car over to Vieques, but because of the rain went straight to... More

We stayed at the el conquis. hotel and so the trip to and from the island was free and we spent several days there. The island has tons for kids to do (mini golf, volleyball, games, is hiking) and things to rent (floats, snorkels, kayaks, cabanas etc). Food and drinks are pricey and limited. If it weren't for this island,... More

Palomino is a small 109 acre private island, accessible from the port at the El Conquistador resort by free ferry for resort guests. $40 per person by water taxi from Fajardo. It has 200 beach lounge chairs, water sports (sailing, jet skiing, floats, snorkeling), horse back riding and wonderful beaches and water. This is a must visit place for couples... More

We were staying at El Conquistador, so my friend and I came here for the day. It was the perfect day of lazing around on the beach and a delicious lunch. All you need for a quiet little getaway.
