PR isn't exactly a hotbed of contemporary art, and the permanent collection is definitely a mixed bag. However, at $5 admission why not give it a go; there's certainly enough to entertain you for an hour or so. Looks like they have some decent special exhibitions just not one on when I visited. The lower level has work on display... More

This Art Museum is one of my favorites! The Building itself is beautiful. It used to be a school and was converted into the museum (the school is now next door). The architecture is honestly really beautiful. It has a nice collection of modern art. The exhibits are changed frequently and it has some working studios where you can actually... More

We explored this museum after walking here from the Puerto Rico Museum of Art, about a mile away in the same Santurce neighborhood. The Contemporaneo has several rotating exhibitions at any one time, and a number of the ones we caught this time were terrific. The standout was a terrific mini-retrospective of the work of Carlos Betancourt, a rich discovery... More

This is a small art museum, well worth a visit. We came by on a Saturday when there was a wedding being held in the courtyard. This added to the experience, as we could view the wedding from the surrounding hallways which opened to the courtyard. Parking was easy even with the wedding. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We don't... More

A nice collection of artists especially Spanish and Latin American. Fine location and parking garage. Walk around the area to see impressive sculptures.

The museum represents a breath of fresh air in an otherwise tainted community, where cultural and social differences clash constantly; these clashes make the museum necessary, however. The building has been beautifully refurbished and the personnel in the galleries are all attentive, yet unobtrusive. I truly enjoyed the work of students from different nearby schools stressing the museum's community outreach... More

An excelent evening. Easy to find if you are not familiar with the area, parking on site and very helpful employees. This was a school turned into a Museum...beautiful construction. I did not see handicapped access, but I did see elevators!

Great building. Eclectic collection: new art, political art, historical art, questionable art. Most translated into English, but not all. Very friendly & helpful guides. Small gift shop. No cafe. We spent 2 hours there including a picnic lunch. Tip: you can park on the grounds if not crowded.
