We stop by here every year when we visit family. Read the other reviews. The "dark skinned lady" can be rude, discourteous, and loud. It's part of the experience now. You can find some but not many of the items at other stores for 30-50% less. You won't find the extensive carvings or masks anywhere else in OSJ. If you... More

We come to SJU most every year--I never miss this place. And you shouldn't either!! They offer so many amazing handcrafts and art pieces--all handcrafted by the Haitian people. I buy something every time--from artwork, to beaded purses or painted clay works of art. I love this place!! Will always visit.

Very reasonably priced local art, high and low prices. The staff was very accommodating. Great for souvenirs big and small as they offer shipping if it's too big to carry on. Stopped in a couple times during our stay in Old San Juan.

This shop has some very nice items and a huge variety of them. The reasons why I took 2 stars away is because the dark skinned lady at the register was loud and rude. We could hear her arguing with another employee because he had made a deal with a customer. We collected several items to purchase and she was... More

I will never go there ever again and will not recommend no one to go there.. Stuff is over priced and they sell you broken stuff. Plus the dark skin lady at the register is the rudest person there. She don't help when you need help. People don't go there!! there are other places that are cheaper.

The Haitian Gallery was a very nice gift shop selling Haitian crafts. All the artifacts are of the finest quality, color and texture. The shop was very well kept as well and has welcoming feel. I really wanted to take lots of pictures, but the female shop owner prohibited us from taking photos inside. They had some stuff we really... More

We were walking around Old San Juan and decided to stop and look in this shop. There were 3 Haitian ladies in the register area and a gentleman walking around the shop. They weren't very friendly but we didn't mind as we just came in to browse.Nice place , really like a few of the items including some artwork but... More
