I was driving from San Juan to Yauco on Easter Sunday and decided to take in the scenes of Ponce. Got to La Plaza de las Delicias where the church is located. Cars all around it indicated that Mass was taking place. Since I am Catholic, I decided to attend Easter Sunday Mass. It was a beautiful spiritual experience. The... More

Located on Plaza Las Delicias in downtown Ponce, right on the same square that the fire station, Hotel Melia, the City Hall, the Department of Culture office, and many restaurant and bars. Is a Catholic Cathedral built on the same place that the original church was erected back in 1660. Is a beautiful and very well maintained structure.

This is a beautiful cathedral in Ponce, one of the must-sees when walking around the main square. It's easy to get to (it's not always open, though). If it's not open, just looking at the facade is a treat. Nice architecture!

Always open. A big attraction for tourist and Catholics. It's located in the middle of plaza las delicias and is always full.

This church is beautiful and centrally located right on the main square...the only negative is it seems locked up tight most of the time.

One of many beautiful cathedral located in Puerto Rico. Right in the center of the towns square and next to the Parque de Bombas, an old firefighting museum. It has restaurants and stores all around the square. Is really a touch of the Catholic past in a familiar tropical scene. Beautiful scene.

as the location of the Cathedral is the most picturesque square in Ponce, it is a very good visit in combination with el parquet de bombas and some of the colonial building adjacent to the square. A worthy visit

We note the cathedral was well maintained on the exterior, paint and trim were fresh. But it appears changes has struck another old favorite. It was not open to the public like it used to be. Perhaps the city fathers assume everyone wants to go to the mall and the fast food outlets. That could not be farther from the... More
