If you are looking for the gorgeous AND PEACEFUL Vieques beaches, you may want to avoid Caracas and visit the neighbouring Playuela, o Chivas beach. True, we visited it during a weekend, but it was crowded, lots of locals with loud music, inflatables, barbecues... Loud...More

We love Caracas! Wide, expansive white sand beach. Good waves. Get there early if you want a cabana. Looking at the sea, the left side is more populated with families barbecuing, right side is quieter with less people. Small cave in limestone on the right...More

Beautiful beach with powdery sand and clear water!! You can walk out chest high and still see the sand straight to the bottom!! The water is great for swimming and relaxing, but don't snorkel here there isn't anything to see but sand!

Bring an umbrella if you want shade. Warm water with waves. If you want stronger body surfing waves look to Navio beach. Nice beach area and seems to be a bit more crowded than others but never too crowded.

Really beautiful, clear blue water, powdery sand, trees for shade. Only negative is there were more people there on this trip than I've ever seen (although still not that many :)).

My husband and 2 kids went to Caracas Beach and are very happy we chose that beach! The water was calm and clear blue and the sand perfect. I only wish we had brought a raft as it would have a great place to float!

Crystal clear turquoise waters & clean white sand make this the best beach in Vieques by a mile. Hammocks available, small shelters to sit under. But no facilities of any kind

Caracas is one of many wonderful beaches in Vieques. The water is calm most of the time and have crystal clear waters. Just a note to take food and beverage with you as their is no place within the beach to get something.

There ARE primitive outhouses as of June when I was there. They were out of toilet paper and a bit ripe smelling however if you gotta you gotta! Better than finding some bushes. This is a remote and primitive area! Caracas... More

You will need a vehicle or transportation to the beach as it is not in "town" but not necessarily a jeep. There are paved roads right up to the beach.
