An excellent overview of Martinique history. Guides are in French only, but text on various spots is in English too. Estate is very well mainained and organized. Worth visit.

This historic development is up a winding, but well market road and is quite an interesting recreation of slave encampment. Located in a beautiful setting with loads of info to learn.

If we had spoken French we could have gotten a guided tour. But the maps on the pamphlets let us walk on a self directed tour, and most of the exhibits were in English as well as French. There are amazing sculpted figures in the...More

I really wanted to visit La Savane des Esclaves, however when I arrived they were preparing to close. I visitied on a Wednesday, they close at 2pm. I was able to get a few pics, but not many.

hello thank you for your opinion but the site is closed from 12:30 to 14h, and the visit resumes at 14h until 16h45, so I do not understand your message

Very welcoming staff and nice story. We have even been able to meet the founder as he was working on an expansion. Great experience !

I would not recommend using taxis in Martinique. Taxis are rare in this country and not a good way to travel. You should rent a car ...

No it more an overview of slave living conditions. Housing, subsistence farming and tools of punishment.
