We were only in port from 8 to 4 so we decided instead os spending 30 to 45 minutes each way to get another more popular beach to go to Vigie Beach. This is about 5 to 10 minutes from the cruise pier by taxi....More

Nice beach, really. The only thing was that the locals came up to us and tried to take our money. We were extremely uncomfortable. One filled up our empty beer bottle with sand, gave it to our 3 year old and said $5, expecting us...More

Very nice beach, not crowded at all, its safe, and if you go with captain cliff tours (victor.com) there’s a person from their staff always with you providing any required assistance, they give you chairs, umbrella, and drinks. You also get to decide the time...More

I followed the advice of recent travelers and skipped the Rodney Bay beaches and went to Vigie Beach instead. We walked there although a cab would have been better as the walk was less than scenic. The restaurant and beach are directly across the street...More

Vigie is the closest beach to the cruise ship terminal. It boarders a cemetery and airport. You cannot walk to it from the docking area. Much better beaches to spend the day at for a cab ride of $12-15 per cab each way.

Our ship was in St. Lucia for the day, and we wanted to go to a local beach. Vigie beach is not far from the cruise terminal, but it is on the other side of the airport, so walking there is a bit difficult. We...More

I checked this beach out for a walking option for my young family. While it seems close, it's actually a bit of a hike. Only 30 minutes, but the road is quite busy and the sidewalks are pretty narrow. Don't really recommend. Walk out of...More

We stopped in St. Lucia on a Caribbean cruise. I had researched and learned that we could walk to Vigie Beach. While that may technically be true, it would be a very long walk (several miles) because the beach is on the other side of...More

Went to this beach when in Casteries for a cruise stop. Nice beach with bathrooms, food and internet. 3 of the 4 of us received massages right on the beach, great! Also noted that one of the excursions that the cruise ship offered (small train)...More

This is a very nice quiet sandy beach only minutes from the cruise terminal. Taxi cost us $12 each way. We rented chairs from Sean who I must say has the best rum punch on the island. Just let Sean know when you are ready...More
