Sugar Beach (used to be Jalouse Beach) - beautiful beach, great snorkeling, can rent snorkeling equipment, there is a designated snorkeling area, there is a restaurant, restrooms and changing area for visitors. For the kids Sugar Beach was the best because it was shallower than the others. During our second and third day of snorkeling there were some small stinging... More

We went there to snorkel. Although it is part of a resort and not open to the public in general, the reception at the gate was very friendly and inviting and the snorkeling was just great. There was also a catamaran at anchor there with a large group of tourists, who went snorkeling from the boat. Also the reception in... More

Public beach right below the Pitons. Right below the Viceroy Hotel too. Not a bad beach, white sand, little rocky. Hotel charges $50 to rent a chair/towels. Couple activities to keep kids busy too.

We visited this beach as part of our private charter excursion with Sugar Boat Charters. It was the fastest and easiest way to get to this beach from the cruise ship. We actually stopped along the way and visited Soufriere and did the mud bath and waterfall before heading to this beach to snorkel. It was truly some of the... More

Beautiful snorkeling off the beach as the reef drops off into the water with the same steepness that the neighboring pitons drop off. We were unfortunate to have jellyfish with us and we all got little stings from them and their babies.

So as many others have stated this is a beautiful beach. Though the biggest problem with this PUBLIC beach is the Viceroy Resort has seemingly taken it over claiming it as their own. Any local will vehemently tell you it is not. All beaches in St. Lucia are public & it's useful to know this bc resort employees may try... More

We spent the day snorkeling at Jalousie (Sugar) Beach, and it was amazing! We didn't want to leave, ever! I have never seen such a wide variety of fish and coral in one place. It was simply stunning! I could go on and on and on about how much fun we had the day we were there. The beach itself... More

We stayed at the Foud Doux Plantation resort, which had a free daily shuttle to the Sugar Beach resort and Jalousie Beach. I loved the amenities of the Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort ( which we did not stay at ) but you are able to share the wonderful and scenic beach which is located between the two Pitons. We... More

We booked through Spencer Ambrose to get here. It took a very, very long time to get here because of the pick ups from piers. Not great. The lunch provided included chicken that was still pink/red. I was worried I would get ill, but I was perfectly fine. We spent around 5 hours on this beach. It is truly beautiful.... More

Spent time here with family as part of a combined tour to soufriere. The beach is beautiful ,and set at the side of the Petit Piton, which makes it even more stunning. We were brought in by sea taxi and there are sun loungers to the left of the beach which you are allowed to use, but you can walk the... More
