We went to Anse Chastanet Beach after having lunch at Jade Mountain Club. It is only a short walk from the guest parking at Anse Chastanet Resort, but have in mind that the drive up there is quite steep and bumpy. Still, it´s absolutely worth...More

I recently stayed at Anse Chastanet....never snorkeled before as I did not know how to swim. One afternoon I wandered over to the Scuba St. Lucia shop where I was greeted by GiGi. I explained that I had never snorkeled and I could not swim...More

This is an amazing beach with a nice area to snorkel. The road to get to it is a bit scary, but worth it! Free, safe parking a minute walk from the beach. You can rent chairs and an umbrella for $11 US dollars per...More

During our stay in St Lucia we went three times to Anse Chastanet. The snorkelling is great, you can access the little reef from a jetty and see colourful fish including parrot fish, box fish and sergeant major. The staff are friendly and you can...More

We arrived at the beach, went to the dive shop and rented a very comfortable lounge under a thatched shade cover ($11 each US). The environment was lovely. There are nice and clean guest toilets there for one's usage. The restaurant food is delicious. The...More

This is such a lovely beach for both swimming and snorkelling. My kids didn't want to leave! They saw so many beautiful fish and really enjoyed the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The black sand is lush and soft. You will not be disappointed!

I have missed feelings about this place. I gave it a very good only because I loved the snorkeling off shore and the beautiful black sand. However, I did not like the vibe this place gives off from tourist perspective. The staff were rude and...More

We had heard the snorkeling was great and there were two resorts (Anse Chastenet and Jade Mountain) that we could tap into for a meal. The overall beach is a few hundred feet long. There are guards that force visitors to stay in the non-resort...More

Not a walking beach but it is beautiful with good snorkeling. There is service from the restaurant on the beach available. Getting there is not easy as you have to take a car over a fairly treacherous mountainside road. Walking from Soufriere is probably more...More
