I'm used to the smell of sulphur whilst on holiday as my partner always goes for an egg medley at breakfast but the smell here was unbearable. It's totally crowded and everyone is herded in like sheep in a sheep dip - the experience lasts...More

The tour of the drive-in volcano was very quick and interesting. The tour guide was very informative. The following trip to the mud baths was entertaining. The guides really push the idea that you will feel 10 years younger if you do the mud baths...More

Our family of 6 enjoyed our trip to the mud baths as part of Joy's Cruises. Fortunately our time there was brief. The "health benefits" thing is a bit overdone but it is enjoyable as far as being something different. Would we do it again?...More

Visiting these springs is a very relaxing experience. The hot mud bath seems to soothe the skin - and is recommended by the locals for a variety of conditions! It certainly makes your skin feel smooth!

The mud bath was fun. You cover yourself with volcanic mud which is supposed to make you look younger. Touristy, but worth the trip.

I would budget an hour to see the volcano, unless you want to do the mud bath. It's fascinating to watch the bubbling, steaming pools of grey minerals and there's a nice view out across the landscape. The smell of sulfur is strong but it...More

Someone mentioned getting there early to beat the crowds and I also don't want the mud to be to hot for me to get in. Can anyone tell me what is a good time to get there by, in the Morning? I will be on a cruise. Thanks!

It's tricky- only a few dirty change rooms so can't imagine how big groups manage it. We left our stuff on a bench where we could see it all the time. Much quieter afternoons
