Great view from the fort. You can see Little Bay, Great Bay and Philipsburg from there. There are some cannons and remains of a couple of buildings. The path up to the fort is a little rocky so you might want to wear closed toe...More

St. Maarten is known mostly because the beaches. In my opinion it is a great half a day trip from any resort to see something else. The views are very good. Visit on the weekends of during the day avoid traffic jams.

Look it is a remnant fort. Fairly simple. Not very restored. It is free and open. No staff or facilities. Having said that if your staying/visiting Marigot it is worth the walk up the hill for sure. Walk is not all that tough. If you...More

Well worth the walk up the road or take the shortcut up the sometimes steep steps, but interesting to be able to sneak a look into the backyard of the locals. Be sure to take some water as it can get hot! There are a...More

Walked up the hill and was amazed at the ruins of the fort. The view of the harbor was fantastic and well worth the hike. Can see why the cannons were here. You can almost feel yourself transported back in time.

Nice place to walk around and enjoy the views over Marigold and the sees. The signs with explanation of the history are interesting. The cannons are rusty and not historically on the right place but demonstrate the power of the location perfectly.

We made a climb up to Fort Louis late morning before lunch in Marigot. The walk up was winding and somewhat challenging, so I was glad we went in the morning, as the heat would make the hike more difficult. The history of the fort...More

There's no toiletries and no wi fi. But you will spend about 1 hour only to visit all place. The view is great!
