There is an excellent variety of fish here, but it can be quite shallow. I am not a fan of shallow, because currents/waves (which really aren't bad) push you into the coral/invertebrates. I was actually pushed by the current into the shallow beach area that forced me to step on coral "rocks" to get out (there was no heading back... More

Family of four including children (8 months and 6). I had researched before we arrived on our disney cruise and almost decided against going so far, but so happy we did. One of the nicest stops on our trip. Gorgeous beach with shade and fewer people than other beaches. It was $80 roundtrip from the cruise docking and took about... More

Really no amenities-had to change into our swimsuits in the one port-o-potty-(yuck!) but it was a great place to snorkel. Very nice beach, and not as hard to get to as some reviews indicated. Very few people, no cruisers. Would definitely go back.

Deserves its reputation and then some as the beach is delightful and usually uncrowded. Heck,if you get up earlier you might have the beach completely to yourself. Long Bay is nice too but this a better choice if you want smaller waves and sand (versus rocks) in the water. Yes, from Long Bay the road is rocky, but it also... More

Came here to snorkel from Long Bay at the recommendation of a local. Worth the trip. Driving to the beach was different as it feels remote but is not an issue. Beach almost seems private, almost no services, which we enjoyed since it is not touristy.

Smuggler's Cove has great food and service. Very relaxing and yet fun at the same time. Big Screen TV's so if there is a sport on you won't miss it!

A lovely beach, great swimming, but best to go when there are not any cruise ships. Pack a lunch, or find the "Birthday Party", tucked into the foliage, and order up some great chicken or ribs, pour your own drink, and celebrate. Easy to find, follow your map. there is a porta potty, but no running water. I remember, when!!!!

A really lovely, secluded beach on Tortola's west end, facing toward Jost Van Dyke. Excellent sandy bottom swimming area. Worth searching out the obscure dirt road access. If open, Nigel's Snack Shack offers cold beverages, snacks and a very limited, occasional meal or two.

Remote spot. Definitely off the beaten path but worth it if you are up for an adventure. Hard to find as they signage is basically non-existent. Don't be afraid to ask locals for directions.

Everyone told us to go to Smuggler's Cove. So we looked at our map and followed some dirt roads, only to find out we had circled the tip of the island and were back where we started. So we tried again. Take note: just travel by White Bay villas and stay to the right. It's less than a mile from... More
