Reliable, quick service. Do keep an eye on your bags and how they tag them/where they place them on the boat. This is because the ferry makes two stops. One couple in our group was boarding and the staff person said - "2nd stop"....luckily I...More

Family trip to Tortola July 2017. Flew into St. Thomas, cab to Ferry terminal, no problem. Had tickets, checked in and went to sit down and wait for boarding. Old, and falling down ferry terminal. Few overpriced drinks. Boat (well worn) sitting at dock. Waited...More

We have taken Smith's Ferry between St. Thomas and Tortola many times. Their ferries are larger than others we have taken and, as a result, the loading and unloading can be chaotic and the wait at immigration frustrating. Their boats are large and comfortable and...More

We arrived at the ferry dock an hour early, but the ferry wasn't there. Nor was there anybody at the desk. When I called the supplied number, nobody answered, and I realized the phone was ringing at the abandoned desk! We gave up and squeezed...More

Ferry was fast, clean and very modern. Boat was new; and compared to competition much nicer. Would use this service over others.

On time, clean and it got us where we wanted to go. Can't say much bad about that. On our trip outbound it was pretty wavy but the boat handled it well...it just wasn't the smoothest ride I've ever had but they can't control that...More

There are plenty of taxis for individuals but you could order a car if you are concerned. We were part of a group and had a van waiting for us at the airport. Once in Tortola it was a free for all. Everyone crowded in a... More

The schedule may be published online. But that is probably aspirational. You may need to go to the terminal early and figure it out. Give yourself some extra time -- maybe a day. The schedule is also seasonal.
