Ferry was fast, clean and very modern. Boat was new; and compared to competition much nicer. Would use this service over others.

On time, clean and it got us where we wanted to go. Can't say much bad about that. On our trip outbound it was pretty wavy but the boat handled it well...it just wasn't the smoothest ride I've ever had but they can't control that...More

I rode Smiths Ferry several times on my visits to Tortola. They make sure they take care of their customers and give you a great ride and view on the way over to Tortola.

A bit chaotic as people are all around and you are not sure where to go or who to give your luggage to. Overall though once you get by the bit of chaos it's an easy trip and fine service.

We have taken the Bomba Charger from St Thomas to Sopers' Hole and back for each of the last 3 years. It seems to be getting better organized and executed each year, and well integrated with the two government immigration services.

Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Give yourself lots of time as they leave when they want. There is customs on each side and it doesn't move quickly.

Hi We are going by ferry from St Thomas to Rhode Town and back. Coming in to use the 1:30 ferry from St Thomas to Rhode Town to on Native Sun. We are leaving using Smith's ferry at 11:45 Am both trips are on Monday late in April next year. Should we buy tickets in advance? My concern is from Also are the single taxis to take to ferry from airport and from airport ferry or are there only shared taxis. Did you wait a long time in taxi to get to ferry if it was shared? My concern is if my flight is late getting into St Thomas it is suppose to arrive at 12:05. How long did it take to get through customs?

There are plenty of taxis for individuals but you could order a car if you are concerned. We were part of a group and had a van waiting for us at the airport. Once in Tortola it was a free for all. Everyone crowded in a... More

What is the ferry schedule tJVD from Tortola Traveling 11/05

The schedule may be published online. But that is probably aspirational. You may need to go to the terminal early and figure it out. Give yourself some extra time -- maybe a day. The schedule is also seasonal.
