Began visit with great introductory history movie (complete with storm sound effects). Walked the scenic ocean shore grounds and toured restored St. James home - gorgeous stonework and mahogany wood trim. Great morning excursion with ocean breezes.

There is a short video that you can view on the property that gives some interesting historical facts about the Cayman Islands. The view of the water is on iron shore. Young children will probably not find this loaction interesting.

We were on a tour from a visiting cruise ship. The Pedro guide rambled on at great speed leaving half his party behind. St James is full of history and Pedro should be visited. The incoherent parrot guide did not enhance our party's visit causing half to miss the 3D theatre. Peter M

We stumbled onto this wonderful publicly owned and maintained historic home and were delighted we did. In nearly a week here we have not seen any other building from the very early days of the Cayman Islands nor herd the accurate and near spellbinding story of civilization here as we did in the multidimensional theater presentation. Give up a day... More

This is a modernized facility that blends the history with up to date comforts and charming guides and other employees. We did this as part of a tour off a cruise ship and felt it was a worthwhile adventure.

Glad we stopped here, as it gave a good overview of the history of the Cayman Islands. The entry fee seemed high compared to other historical locations I have visited. It was Ok.

We took the unguided tour and still feel that we learned a lot about the island. The price was reasonable, and it was clean and well kept up. We met workers there that have been there all their lives and learned even more. If your one that wants to really know where you are and the history on why the... More

Off the beaten path a bit, this park is a must for history buffs. After a short introductory presentation in the theatre, you are free to wander the house and grounds and imagine life as it was in colonial days. The house has been meticulously restored, with much original furniture. Construction details like canted floors that facilitate runoff of rainwater... More

We came to Grand Caymen on a cruise ship. Five other cruise ships were anchored there that day, alongside ours. Luckily, we were already planning to go to Pedro St. James, which was a great idea as we got away from the thousands of other people who went to the beach and the more touristy places. We rode a city... More

The mansion is well maintained and the perfect place to learn about the culture and development of the Island(s). After roaming the buildings and the garden you can visit the 4D movie theater which gives you more insights into the Eden family and the history of "St. James" (the building itself).
