We'd been to Smith Cove on our last trip, but this time it was like no other. We had the confidence to explore a little further long the Cove and around the coral and got to see some amazing schools of fish as well as squid! I'd never seen them in person before. Absolutely amazing. Such a gorgeous place to... More

We rode bikes to Smith Cove and arrived early in the morning. There were only a few other people there when we arrived, but it started getting more crowded as the time went by. The beach is pretty small buy has a unique grotto feel to it. Good place to spend some time when the crowds are low.

We had a day where we could just drive the island and we started out at Hell, went to Governer's Beach and then after lunch, hit Smith Cove. It was a Sunday, and we found lots of locals there, having barbecues, spending time with family, and just enjoying the day. The water was a bit rough, so the snorkeling wasn't... More

Beside the super quaint setting with the beautiful cove, this spot has some wonderful snorkeling that is easy for kids. Just a very short swim to the reefs and lots of beautiful fish.

About 2 miles south of George Town this is a great little area. Plenty of parking and easy access to the beach. Shade under the trees at the back of beach. Facilities include a WC block, Fresh water shower, BBQ areas and benches and tables. Access to the sea is through 3 small sandy coves between 5 and 15 yards... More

While the actual sand part of the beach is not huge in size if you are interested in snorkeling, swimming or jumping off the rocks this is the place to do it. This is a great public beach with parking. There are amazing fish to see when snorkeling off the beach and you can jump off the rock formations (about... More

Smith cove is a small public beach with good parking, lots of shade, and great snorkeling. Fantastic spot that feels like a hidden gem.

The beach was a lot smaller than we thought but was not over crowded - very rocky and there was a need for beach shoes
