The Clock Tower, in the middle of Georgetown's History Square is a tribute of the Caymanian people to King George. It, along with other monuments in the square commemorate much of the history of the Cayman Islands. It's certainly worth seeing!!

This historic landmark in the center of Georgetown in Grand Cayman is a short walk from the dock where cruise ship tenders drop off and pick up guests. As far as "first impressions" go, this "tower" is small and unremarkable. But it's significance is that it stands as a monument to the brave women of the past from Grand Cayman.... More

Small Clock Tower, took 2 pictures and moved on. It would be easy to pass right by unless you knew what you were looking for. Something of such importance would have a bigger presence in the US or Europe...

5-10min walk from Cruise (tender) Pier and right next to Heroes Square in the heart of George Town. So worth of little stop and few photos.

A small clock tower. Just one of the few things of interest to see in George Town. It stands near the library and across from Heroes Square. It was built in 1937, a plaque on the side states it was built in memory of King George 5th of England

The Clock Tower is a part of the George Town culture among the shops and boutiques. George Town features several landmarks such as the National Museum, Library and Post Office. The buildings are pretty and well kept and we enjoyed reading the history of the buildings in the area plus the dedications.

As a professor, everywhere I go I make it a point to visit historic sites, local libraries, museums, civic centers and etcetera. The Clock Tower in Georgetown, Cayman Islands is an important landmark and is just opposite and inspiring sculpture commemorating the brave women of the Cayman Islands. The town library is also across from The Clock Tower.

This really is just a little clock tower. Not a lot more to it really and it's amazing that it even gets listed as a tourist "sight". If you don't happen to see it from your taxi as you go past don't make an effort to see it - you haven't missed anything!

Not the most interesting clock tower or plaza. It's a small and very simple clock tower in the central square. George Town doesn't have much to see or do.

Every era builds monuments and this is dedicated to HM George V (HM Queen Elizabeth's grandfather, BTW HM QEII is also Queen of the Cayman Islands) and this is practical (because of the public clock) version. It's close to the port and near the Post Office. Walk by it and think of a past era when most people didn't wear... More
