Da wife, da 20 yr old boy and I spent a couple hours on a beautiful afternoon strolling around Georgetown. I was expecting a huge mass of shopping, street vendors and people like Phillipsburg, St. Maarten. Nope! Georgetown is only about 2 X 2 blocks....More

It's best to visit here, if you are staying on the island, when the cruise ships are NOT in port. You can look online and see when and how many ships come in, and what time they leave. We went into town in the morning,...More

if there is no cruise ship in port it's a very sleepy place. many shops are only open when the ships are in & have people ashore. once the daytrippers leave things shut up tight.

I have visited Georgetown many times and never tire of the picturesque town, friendly and gracious residents/shop owners and gorgeous landscapes. It's tiny and quaint with fabulous activities and dining and did I mention some of the best shopping every!

The people in Georgetown are friendly and kind. The shopping is pretty basic and typical tourist trade. Be aware if you are staying on the island that for the most part shops close by 5.

We were on a cruise on the Carnival Breeze and this was one of the stops. I found the people friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed sampling the rum cake. It is a very clean city and you feel safe here. We enjoyed walking around Georgetown.

beautiful town, lots of shopping and sightseeing. The beaches are beautiful! People are friendly , and we enjoy walking around. No one pushing you to come to their store or bothering you about buying things like in other cruise ports and cities.
