If you want to discover some of the islands history this is a great start. It's well maintained plus you can get a audio tour of the site. The cost was $10 US each (locals are free I believe). It's best to take a cab if you don't have a local friend to drive you.

I was really pleasantly surprised at how well this fort had been preserved. It had a few nice exhibits, and some fantastic views. Well with a visit when in St. Kitts.

For anyone interested in military history Brimstone Hill Fortress is a must see. The national park is one of the best preserved British fortresses in the Caribbean. That is probably due to its commanding location high above the water and the fact that there were few colonial battles for St. Kitts.

This is an amazing fortress. It's in a very high location and the drive up is cool just in it self. There is a lot to see and the view of St. Kitts and the harbor is great! Take the time to enjoy this fortress as it offers a lot of neat rooms to tour and explore.

Fantastic view from the top with a decent audio tour. The fort is in surprisingly good condition, one of the better British Forts we've seen. Worth the trip, we hired a cab and arranged to go to the fort followed by the beach.

We didn't know what to expect, but decided to check it out. It was really great to see all the history of the area with the different structures and protections that were built. The views from the hill are amazing as you can see why they build the fortress where they did. Recommended as a good 30-45 minute distraction as... More

This is the best fort in the Caribbean which I have visited this far. As an architectural historian I visit many forts, but I must say I was not expecting this site to be so impressive. Classical fortifications of the period were enhanced by the view; it was spectacular! Come on your own to this spot and spend some time... More

We visited Brimstone Hill while on an island tour...the windy road up with all the sharp twists and turns were a great indicator of just how high up and majestically situated this fort was placed while the British and the French were still fighting over the island. Sweeping views of the valley and surrounding hills down to the sea; steeped... More
