An enormous property with interesting history. Take the time to visit it. Walking to the top does take some effort especially if it's windy. Totally worth it for the views and understanding military life in the 1700 and 1800s.

Views from top of the fortress are amazing but climbing up the stairs can be challenging to say the least.

A must see for any history buff. Gorgeous views for miles. Could have walked around taking pictures for hours. So beautiful! Getting up there was a steep and narrow journey. I was glad someone else was driving.

Regardless of your tolerance for history, this site is fantastic. The views are some of the best of the island. Really breathtaking. There are things to explore there if you want to dive deep, or you can just take in the panoramic views.

If you are ever close to St. Kitts, don't miss the chance to see this fort. One of the most spectacular views anywhere. There are a fair bit of stairs, but well worth the climb. They have a self guided audio tour that is very...More

Well worth the trip and the amazing views, not to mention we also saw monkeys on the way up just by the road in the trees. Lots of information to review and you can take your time to see all the sights and history.

We had the place to ourselves on a beautiful day ahead of the recent hurricane that passed through south of Nevis. It was a first for us, from a history point, of understanding St. Kitts relationship with England and some of the mistreatment and such....More

A great stop on an island tour. Step back in time and see history come to life. Start with a quick video, climb steps to the top and experience a glimpse of daily life in the fort. Breath taking views. Small, well-stocked gift shop and...More

I would either take an excursion or get off the ship and at the end of the pier get a tour or taxi. The sit is far end of island and way up a hill, mountain, so give yourself enough time to get back to the ship. I would... More
