Extensive British fort complex atop high point on St. Kitts near Sandy Point. Lots of things to explore. Interesting historically. Worth a few hours on your own or as part of a tour. We hired a taxi for a tour and this was the highlight.

The stop at Brimstone Hill Fortress was well worth the steep drive up (with crazy hairpin turns and horn honking to ward oncoming traffic we were coming!). The grounds are very nicely maintained, with a gift shop and rest room on the main level. You...More

We were taken to the Brimestone Hill Fortress as part of a tour of St. Kitts. Image a project which took 120 years to complete, each and every stone placed by hand having been mined from all over the island. The size of the place...More

Really impressive colonial era fortification on a large hill. Its partially restored. The views from the hill alone are worth the price of admission. On a good day you can see quite a few other islands. Nice reminder of the bloody history of the islands...More

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did but it was an awesome experience. The ride up the hill was a little scary at times because the roads are so narrow and you have to honk to be seen around certain turns,...More

I would either take an excursion or get off the ship and at the end of the pier get a tour or taxi. The sit is far end of island and way up a hill, mountain, so give yourself enough time to get back to the ship. I would... More
