Mayaro is the most popular Beach on the Atlantic or East side of Trinidad. Lined with Beach Houses and Coconut Palms this beach is about 7 miles long. No major hotel chains, no Umbrella/Chair rentals, this is the perfect getaway for locals especially Easter Weekend and Carnival Days for the non revelers.

Mayaro is a beautiful and very long beach. The road trip from Port of Spain definitely worth it, from Manzanilla to Mayaro you are going to enjoy a marvelous beachside road with coconut trees side to side!! The beach could be cleaner, but is long enough to look for a good spot to spend your day. Take all the things... More

Came here recently. The water is not so great;it's brown and sometimes rough. I do not advise coming here to bathe, just for the fresh breeze and scenery is good.

Well best for kids in the morning as the tide is low, lots of chip chip for kids to collect and lots of fish to catch if you fishing ! I noticed lots more shark in these warm waters now

This "resort" is the most disgusting and scornful place to stay in Mayaro. The owners clearly have no pride in the service they are providing. I stayed there with my family for a weekend and these are just a few of the issues we encountered: - the pool was non-functional - some of the air condition units were not working... More

Mayaro as a town has all you need - market, supermarkets, and Doubles! However, the bay is well worth a visit. In a car go to the centre of Mayaro, and turn right by the market. Travel as far as you wish, any of the roads on your left will take you down to the sea. Some are private roads... More

Beach at Eccles Road was clean and wide enough to enjoy playing in the sand with kids. While sea was refreshing there was a strong current which may be difficult for weak swimmers.

From here you can see one of the most beautiful sunset along the horizon. Recently there was the sargasso weed but most have been cleared. Even if you are not bathing just sitting on the shore is relaxing.

Just came back from a week long trip at this resort. It was a quiet stay; but far from perfect. We planned our trip quite a few months in advance and requested a fully airconditioned apt which we were assured we would get. When we checked in, the a/c in the living room was not working as well as the... More
