Nice place for a family outting day of fun in the sun but the water is not the cleanest but once you go with the right persons you would love it. And the bake and shark .. to die for.

This beach with its little restaurant huts and bars was a great experience. I can see why Trinidad is doing so much construction there to ensure there are adequate parking, and also easier access to beach and the restaurants.

Went with my friends to Maracas beach and we loved it.. the waves are strong and got pretty high. There are lifeguards.

The road is very narrow for the 2 lanes and it has many twists and sharp turns. Would highly recommend to go with an experienced local (tour guide). They also drive on the opposite side as North America so that is something... More

It's not expensive, I would compare it to a motel from about 40 years ago. Bare bones. But it's right on the beach basically. You just cross the street. But it is run down. I stayed at the Hilton in POS and that was 3 stars... More
