Nice range of animals from local and international countries Plenty birds, snakes, monkeys. A range of wild cats, fishes and other critters. Wednesdays are the Snake Feeding day. But if you go before lunch time, you can get the opportunity to see other Zoo handlers feeding other animals too.

We spent around 3 hours in the zoo looking around the exhibits. There are new ones currently being built as a lot of the old enclosures are small and not really fit for purpose with a few of the animals looking distressed. The real downside for me was the staff. Many were just sat playing on their phones and messing... More

I'll let you in a little secret about us - we love animals and visit zoos everywhere we go! The Emperor Valley Zoo is well maintained and the animals are happy. The new chimpanzee, tiger and giraffe enclosures are spacious and awesome. The monkey cages need some improvement, which is in the works. You can feed the giraffes 4 times... More

If you love zoos and animals, this is the place to go. Extensive refurbishments, added attractions, look to spend the day.

Go in with low expectations and you may just have a good time. There are definitely tons of exhibits! I personally enjoyed the flamingos, and most especially the giraffes. The place isn't really maintained that well, but overall it's still not the worst thing in the world. It's a decent time on a weekend when you have nothing better to... More

My visit to the local zoo was amazing..After paying a small entrance fee. We immediately started observing the animals. The kids were quite excited to see the Giraffes and Lions. There is a lot to see and learn. On our last visit, one of the lions celebrated his birthday, on our return this year we heard of his passing. The... More

Everytime we go it gets better and better :) My son is almost two and there are lots of things to get his attention. This is his third visit and he was very excited about seeing turtles, the big cats, birds, primates.... He even fed the giraffes. Much thought is being put into enclosures. This time we went during their... More

I went to this zoo early morning on a Monday which happened to be a holiday in Trinidad. It was kind of a rainy day but that didnt damper my spirits. I do enjoy going to zoos and I had never been to this one but I am glad I did. There is a huge crocodile very close to the... More
