Great location, go now before Hotels take over. Good swim snorkel, nice walk from Castara, recommend Peas and Rice plus vegetarian

Absolutely gorgeous beach - don't go! lovely palm fringed sandy beach with lovely gift shop. Water is fab, but be careful getting in/out as it steeply shelves which means you can get a bit sand blasted and tossed around - but it's worth it.

Too late for you I know, but we found it pretty safe. Parked in free car park by beach and took all valuables with us. Not aware of any problems when we were there.
