We visited this attraction on an organised tour of the island. We are both fit for our age[ late sixties!] and we found the last 100 metere negotiation along the riverbank, to reach the bottom pool area, quite testing! However, it was well worth the effort. Did not attempt to go to the upper levels! but the view must be... More

We hired a guide to take us up to the falls. She was very knowledgeable about the plant life and history of the site and made the tour really interesting. We wanted to go to the third level of the falls and stand under them. The guide wouldn't go up so we ventured off on our own. The hike was... More

The three tier Argyle Falls is a majestic sight. An easy, short 15-20 minute hike gets you there with one of the guides at the center. I've visited the falls over 5 times and have had various guides for each one. They are always very friendly, knowledgable and personable. The highlight of the visit to the Falls if you're able... Long but interesting walk when your with a guide who can point out all the different plants and animals (recommend Peter cox) once at the waterfall, you will have to walk through so wear suitable footwear! Water is very clear and refreshing. You'll get some awesome photos underneath it!

Visited while on a tour of the island. Walk up to the falls with a guide who give lots of info on the estate and trees and any birds. Walk is fairly relaxed, but hot and humid. Also wear walking shoes rather than flip flops as pathway can be messy and rather slippy.

Take the long windy road from Scarborough to Roxborough, about 1 - 1.5 hrs depending on traffic. Turn left on Roxbourough - Parlatuvier Road, then follow the signs. Park inside the gate near the fire station. The cashier is to the right of the entrance fee sign. The tourist price is $60 TT per adult, but they take USD. (less... More

Nice walk to the waterfall, rocks to sit on, you could swim there but we didn't wish to. Very peaceful and surrounded by rainforest. No facilities but we didn't expect any.

The waterfall is beautiful. This being said the day I went the water was brown. It freaked me out a bit because you can't see the bottom. My swim was short. I made the mistake of wearing flip flops and it's a good 10 minute walk to get to the waterfall. It was very muddy and very slippery. I almost... More

I am from Costa Rica, so I am used to waterfalls in the Rainforest, even so Argyle is surrounded by an interesting secondary forest with a big influence from another former plantation... maybe in the past century somebody planted huge areas of bamboo and today that bamboo is very invasive on the endemic nature. All in all, Argyle waterfall deserves... More
