Great trip with these guys! Good education on local fish from the crew and we caught come nice ones. Boat was in nice condition and very clean.

3/4 day fishing yesterday and Captain Bruce and 1st mate Tata did a great job! with Bruce and Tate’s persistence they put us on some tuna. We where the only boat to return with fish. Plenty of food and beer. Boat was comfortable, modern and up to date. Price was competitive. We will fish with Bruce and Tata again!

It is not our nature to be negative or criticize, however, we feel compelled to encourage and recommend anyone interested in chartering the Panoply 11 to conduct your full research / inquiries in the context of your expectations. We strongly recommend that you visit the vessel in person and request a full walk through the boat inside and outside before fully committing to the fees charged for your excursion. Let’s just say we wish we had done so! We had visited the Panoply boutique (high-end quality products, clothing, souvenirs, handmade creams and candles) prior to chartering the boat. We were extremely pleased with the Boutique and purchased several Items. Our expectation of the Panoply 11 Boat was that it would be along the same quality level as the boutique. For us we were disappointed to find out after payment of 5,600.00 (Canadian - yes but still a lot of money in any currency) that the Vessel itself is just not what we expected - even after viewing the pictures of it on the web site etc. It is simply not a boat set up for tourist - more of a personal boat used for deep sea fishing. Also, the fact that we rented the boat for the whole day with what we believed was a clear understanding, after many communications with the owner, that we were looking for a mixture of snorkeling, reef fishing and deep-sea fishing. And if the seas were rough, we could coast inside the reef and enjoy cruising the ocean while enjoying the views of Provo Island. Our emphasis was not on deep sea fishing. That was simply not the reality of the charter and not an option available to us even after many requests to the Crew on board. It became painfully evident they did not want to operate the boat inside the reef. Given we have seen and been on similar size boats (or larger) operating inside the reef over the many years we have visited Provo leaves us perplexed. Yes, the seas, smooth or not is beyond their control, but when it is rough and family members are actually being sea sick, it would have been nice to have the options we were told we would be given to us, but instead we had to insist on going back to shore and that took some convincing! Not an experience we would be taking on again! Therefore, do your HOMEWORK, VISIT the boat, make sure your “planned” charter will meet your expectations - our recommendation!

Dear Ginette, Thank you for your feedback, we value all comments whether positive or negative. As for negative reviews, we take these particularly seriously as we rarely receive them. We are sorry you were disappointed in your experience and would have loved the opportunity to speak with you in person had you communicated your dissatisfaction to us at the time of your experience.
I have sent you an email with more detail, for the purposes of this response I will summarize as best I can. After your initial request for bottom/reef fishing I had recommended you reserve Marauder, our center console. Your husband Robert communicated that you wanted to book Panoply II, our 50' Viking Sportfisherman, due to its size and I advised again that the priority on this boat is deep sea fishing and options for bottom/reef fishing and snorkelling are very weather dependent. Following our correspondence Robert confirmed you wanted to reserve the deep sea fishing on Panoply II. Seasickness is not at all unusual on deep sea charters and we are clear that normal conditions offshore are 3-5ft. Many days are better, some are choppy. Our crew are happy to cut a trip short or switch gears if this is communicated to us - often times groups want to keep fishing, other times they ask to head inside for calmer waters and we are happy to oblige.
I'll also note that our rates are in USD and at the time of this booking the full day deep sea fishing was $3,850 plus 12% govt tax. These fees are published on our website at the time of booking, sent to you in your confirmation email and again in your reminder email 72 hours prior to departure. We absolutely agree that guests should do their research before reserving a charter with any guide/operator. I am here to answer questions and make sure we get you on the right boat for the right activities and our website has loads of information. I highly recommend following the the advice of your guide when directed to the best boat/itinerary for the desired activities. If our capabilities are outside the scope of your expectations, we will always happily recommend another guide better suited to you and your needs. Our main goal is always to exceed expectations and bring happy guests back to the dock.
Given deep sea fishing was not your priority, our initial and repeated recommendation for bottom/reef fishing or our fish, snorkel and island hopping cruise on Marauder would have been the best fit for your group. We do hope you'll come back and experience this trip with us in the future and we will be delighted to extend our return guest discount for you. I hope to discuss with you further via email.

Had an amazing day on the water with Capt. Dario and First Mate Kingsley. Sailed to West caicos and did cliff jumping, snorkelling and beach lounging. Finished with a tour of the south side of Provo. Great food, lots of drinks and great fun. A must do if you’re in Provo.

Captain Dario and First Mate Kingsley made this a perfect morning for my family and me. They picked us up from our villa's dock on the canal in Leeward, which was a nice perk. They showed us the stranded freighter, the iguana island, and all the natural beauty that TCI has to offer---and did it with flair and personality, giving us a bit of a history lesson along the way. Kingsley was patient with us snorkeling newcomers; he also found a live conch to show us and several sand dollars. Every detail was right---the music, the outstanding lunch, lots of cold drinks, plenty of space on the boat for our family of four. Our excursion with Dario and Kingsley was a definite highlight of our trip!

We cannot say enough about the entire process from start to a fabulous filet finish! Delphine was very accommodating with the reservations and happens to be a killer photographer back at the dock. Bruce, who we affectionately later dubbed the “eye candy captain” drives the boat like he was born at the helm, and heroically managed the throttles well enough for my very out of shape self to wrangle in a 200lb Marlin! Having said that, if Jose hadn’t been there guiding me through it with Dario at our side, I’m not sure we would have experienced the awe-inspiring beauty of a fish that size. Fortunately for us it didn’t stop there. They men told us that no other charters were reporting any bites that day as we searched, located, and landed over a dozen tuna. An old washed up mom and her 18 year old daughter could not have had a better day making friends, cracking jokes, landing fish, and appreciating the beauty of the Turks and Caicos Islands from the sea. Oh, and the Panoply II is a very well equipped 50’ Viking that comes complete with yummy drinks, snacks, lunch, and three exceptional men who made our trip stellar! Thanks to all….we will be back!

We went out on a sunset cruise with Captain Dario and Kingsley. We had such fun! First off - we felt very safe on the boat. They took great care of us. Joined us in a little dancing and we had a gorgeous night for a sunset. They also served us fresh tuna from the morning and delicious rum punch!

We had a really great half day of deep sea fishing with Panoply! All staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. The boat was comfortable and safe. We caught 13 tuna!! They knew we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and had a nice bottle of champagne for us! My advice to anyone considering booking with Panoply is just do it, you are making the right choice. We can't wait to do it again next year!

We went deepwater fishing with relatively little experience and had a great day on the water with great people from Panoply! Very easy to book and they really did take care of everything. Lunch was simple and fresh and we had plenty of drinks on board. They made it a great day!

I’d like to do a private charter with this company for snorkeling. I’m concerned with all the reviews @ deep sea fishing, the bait will smell of fish. Is this the case?

Hello @mikamichelle! We have three vessels in our fleet and all are meticulously cleaned daily. There are no unpleasant aromas left behind, even on our sportfish which fishes offshore daily!
