This rocky promontory, the easternmost point in the United States, juts into the Caribbean Sea and features "The Castle," a huge mansion perched atop the cliffs and which resembles India's Taj Mahal and a Moorish mosque.

Point Udall is the farthest point east in the US territories. The hill overlooks great scenery, and there are hiking trails leading down to the coast where the surf rolls in. It provides a vista overlooking much of the coastline, and is worth the drive.

The point is a beautiful area but the site itself not so much. There are some hiking trails to some awesome deserted beaches (Jake and Isaac's Bays) not too far from the sight.

Interesting as the eastern most point of US. Not a lot to see, but a nice drive to the site and a nice monument.

The drive out to point Udall has many great vistas, and the monument at the end of the island is worth heading out there for. Great views and dramatic waves on the beaches below.

Probably a little tough return hike up the trail to the parking lot for the 18 month year old. Fun down hill. Round trip to Jack's bay is about 1.5 miles. Even though we are in our 70s this was an easy hike with wonderful... More

I'll defer to the locals for accurate crime stats, but as a recent visitor, I'll do my best on the east end. The east side is beautiful and has some incredible views. It is much more quiet, and many areas would best be... More
