Only open on weekends this is on the far west end. Look for signs it is clearly marked. There are three or four pathways the main one is in the very back. And if your start there and work your way around you will be able to see every side of the island, which is spectacular. It was rough they... More

Stunning beaches with calm waves. Only open on weekends or when a cruise ship is in port (because of the nesting turtles), so plan accordingly.

You need to time your visit right since this beach is only open weekends and not before 10:00 AM. Closed during turtle nesting months. No matter what, this beach is worth the wait. You will drive out to the beach (maybe 2 miles) on a narrow road. There is a parking lot near the little walk to the beach through... More

Nice clean beach. Turtles lay eggs here and it is closed from April on. It is only open on weekends and when the cruise boats are docked. Open from 10 -4. Big drop off from sandy beach to water. Hard to walk and no shade. All natural beach. Great views.

Not always open but who cares. Other than turtle nesting season go ahead and walk the 2 plus miles of unspoiled beach. Nobody bothered us and the few others walking this gem of a refuge. Drop your guilt and enjoy this pristine point of splendor. Weekends are fitting for corralling the masses but go in from the Frederiksted side at... More

The water was really churned up the day we were there. Could barely see the hand in front of your face! Would love to go back some day. No shade but beautiful blue color to the water. Impossible to get through via phone to verify if they are open when cruise ships are in. It is stated so on the... More

This incredible slice of heaven is the location for the final scene of Shawshank Redemption and it is every bit the perfection it displayed on the screen when this popular movie was made back in the 90's. Only open on weekends to the public from 10-4, if you miss this, you've missed the best of this island! The beauty is... More

Very beautiful beach! As noted, no shade on the beach, BUT the water is warm and calm and the sand is perfectly soft. The sun is intense so don't forget the sunscreen!

Best white sand beach on the island! Clear waters, gentle surf, great spot for swimming and light snorkeling. Tends to get crowded later in the day. We went early so it was great. They only open on the week-ends and when a cruise ship is in town so check the schedule.

My husband and I had the best beach experience visit Sandy Point beach. The water was so clear that we could see schools of fish swimming by our toes.. What a delight!
