Formerly a slave-trading market, this open-air fruit and vegetable market is a great place to stop and sample the fresh produce, especially the local specialty - genips.

The place sells shirts, bracelets and other things you would find in a gift shop type place for a cruise port. They have jewelry and some other things as well. I didn't buy anything but the prices weren't insane or anything.

I like to shop in the markets however they will bargain with prices but they end up being higher. Go to the shops in town along the waterfront and they are cheaper and don't haggle.

A lovely market with a variety of products and hand crafts. Fun to walk around and a great place for pictures.

Same crap that is usually in all these markets. Even the local craft places had nothing of any talent or excitement.

This area seems like locals frequent daily to get their local fruits and drinks made by locals. A large area in town right in the city area

Be prepared for pushy sellers and be willing to negotiate. Most booths have the same stuff so you can shop around for the best price. T-shirts 3 for $10. Can't beat it.

There is no beach close to the market. Having gone to the market and the beach, I highly recommend going to the beach and skipping the market. The market is full of tourist t shirts and trinkets. Seriously it is junk... More
