My husband & I wanted a day at the beach without spending lots of $$ on a taxi! Heard we could take the trail to Solomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach. Nice hike but pretty muddy and slippery in spots ... be careful! When we got to the turnoff to Solomon, headed there to cool down in the sea. Once there,... More

It's an uninteresting hike on the Lind Point Trail to a fabulous white sandy beach. I was completely alone on a Saturday morning. A few people showed up just before midday as I was packing up to leave. You'll find the trailhead for the Lind Point Trail across the parking lot from the Visitor Center's bathrooms. (Don't forget to display... More

This is my 2nd review to do on this beach. We have been back to St John's (and this beach) many times since my original review. I truly believe Salomon Beach is still one of the best, and often overlooked, beaches on St John. It is the perfect beach for day trippers from St Thomas or cruise ship passengers looking... More

Great, secluded little beach that you can only access by foot or by boat. While it's a "public" beach, not very many people take the time & effort to get there.

My husband and I loved this beach so much!! It was a hike, but after you got there it was so worth it. Bring some brews and snacks and stay the whole day, barely anyone there and you can snorkle and it was honestly the best beach.

We walked from Cruz Bay Ferry to Salomon Beach. The trailhead is by the Historical Museum. It's about a mile or so on the trail. We took the upper trail and got a great view of the bay at the lookout spot. There were only about 15 people on the beach. The only way to get there is hike or... More

So if you don't mind hiking a few miles on a fairly easy, but wooded path from Cruz bay or Caneel Bay, this little beach is what you would imagine a "Hidden Beach" to be. No facilities, bring everything you need. Caneel Bay resort is not very far if you want to grab lunch there or catch a cab back... More

I see some comments about the hike being too long but it's really not far at all. Because of the location, it can get a little rough but it's so pretty that it's worth the effort.

We were staying in Cruz Bay on this trip and didn't rent a vehicle (next time!). I wanted a beach that we could walk to on the days we didn't want to take a taxi. A friend told me about Salomon, and I'm so glad he did! We went twice, once hiking the lower trail, and once the upper (while... More

What an incredible little slice of heaven!!! This beach is about a mile hike via the Lind Point Trail. The trail starts just outside the visitor center, which is a short walk off to the left from where the ferry pulls in at Cruz Bay. I wouldn't call this a difficult hike, my husband and I did it in flip... More
