We came Saturday afternoon when the terminal was full of people. The service was fast, even that we had to skip a ferry and wait for the next one. They loaded another ferry and sent it to St. John early. So, the schedule is not always strict. There supposed to be ferries on an hour every hour but ours went... More

They have new ferries since the last time I visited STJ. Very comfortable seating inside with a/c. Or you can choose to sit above outside in the sun which would have a great view.

When you are in St. Thomas USVI taking the Ferry to St. John is a must. If for nothing else enjoy the ride. Very safe and enjoyable quick ride. Both car ferry and passenger are a great time.

We used the ferry to St John and we're pleased! It was quick, on time, and best of all clean! I recommend getting to the parking lot before 8:30 to get a spot, it fills fast. It cost us 10.00 to park there for the day. There is a little snack bar at the ferry, and plenty of nice benches... More

Absolutely no complaints with the ferry service between Red Hook and Cruz Bay. Our experience showed it to be reliable, smooth, with friendly employees. Hope to be back on it again in the future :)

I understand the concept of "island time," but sadly our car ferry left two hours after the scheduled time because of issues with two of the three car ferry companies (apparently one company had their ferry had been seized by the IRS as collateral for back taxes and another's ferry was broken down, which left ours -- the one we... Make sure to get there early. It was confusing at first, but we figured it out. From St Thomas to St John You'll pay the port fee to enter ferry waiting and then the ferry fare aboard. You can purchase drinks on the ferry if thirsty.

Wow. Hard to explain the mob of people waiting for the ferry. We had a 11:15 am ferry to St Thomas and the lines were incredible. Suggestion. Buy your tickets in advance to avoid the long lines.

This ferry funs hourly until midnight from St. Thomas to St. John, and back. It is relatively inexpensive ($7 one way for non-residents), leaves on time, and comfortable inside. There are soft cushion seats in long benches and a TV showing local news for those who are interested.
