I visited the Marketplace after a morning of kayaking and snorkeling and am very happy I had my taxi driver take me straight there from my hotel. It is on the Eastern edge of Cruz Bay, well away from the water and most of the tourist places. It is is three story open air shopping center with restaurants, shops, a... More

Central location, bring snacks and cookies form home as they are very high priced, other foods more reasonably priced. Meats, fish, veggies plentiful. Weigh the price against going for BBQ for supper.

It doesn't matter where you shop, whether in Cruz Bay or Coral Bay the prices TOURISTS pay for groceries is OUT OF SIGHT! Expect to pay 2 to 3 times more for everything you buy on the island of St John, as everything must be shipped into the island. St John is a beautiful place but it comes with a... More

The Marketplace has Starfish Market which probably has the best selection on the island, a hardware store, a drug store and ETTA's which is some of the best food I ate on island! If you are staying on island in a private home or condo you will probably need to visit here!

Hardware store, deli, liquor store, pharmacy, book store, grocery store - its all right here. the liquor store is good for liquor only--the wine is way over priced (get wine at the market near the westin or dolphin market). the grocery is good but crowded. produce is better at the dolphin but you can find just about whatever you need... Basically, the prize level in St.John is high. This is why we decided to visit several grocery shops since all of them seemed to have some items that were cheaper than in others. Marketplace has a nice small store which sells wine and other drinks, as well as cheese. Occasionally they have good discounts on some of their produce. The... More

Very nice grocery store - the best on the island. You should expect to pay much more than at home or on St. Thomas. We usually rent a jeep on St. Thomas and buy most of our groceries on St. Thomas before getting on the ferry. We shop here when we run out of things.

We ordered food from the Starfish Market at the Marketplace. We arranged for delivery and it was nice not having to haul groceries from town. The food was expensive but it was worth the convenience of getting exactly what we wanted.

This store is awesome. Great prices and quality on steaks for grilling. Veggies were a little pricey but remember everything is imported. Really nice grocery store and deli. We would pick up a lunch for snorkeling and then swing back by for dinner items. High quality and large variety of items. All good

Since I was just visiting St. John for a day, food was more of a priority than groceries. The deli had a wide variety of food, including pizza. A cursory look around the store, showed that it catered to your every need. Great place to shop flor everything
