Maho is a gorgeous beach on St. John's north shore. Maho is also particularly good for families with small children, as it's a very short distance from the parking lot to the beach so there's no long hike with the beach "necessities". You're also very...More

Went to Maho for our last day on the island. The devastation from the storms is VERY apparent, especially on the other side of the road. They just finished repaving the parking lot and it looks great. Can't believe how many sea turtles we saw....More

This beach is beautiful and the snorkeling promises lots of turtles and delivered. The only issue was a family with boys who insisted on touching them. A little education would have been nice for that family but the beach is amazing.

Post-hurricane: By far, the damage done to the beaches was very evident here. Much of the shade is gone. However, great strides have been taken to improve the area. While snorkeling during our trip this week, we saw more sea turtles than ever. You could...More

The water is clear again and the turtles are everywhere. The beach itself lost a lot of trees but it is quiet and mostly locals. If you are on a mission to swim with the sea turtles then this is the beach for you

Even after the hurricanes I still love Maho. The go to place to see turtles and loll on the beach. Beautiful sand and sea.

You can get there with no issues. The beach is beautiful with plenty to see and do. There are picnic tables to use. Great to have a lunch. If you take a taxi I suggest you make arrangements to return using the same taxi. There...More

2018 Maho is still beautiful. As long as you look out toward the water. Everything behind you is brush. All the old palm trees and overhanging shade is gone. They’ve done a good job to get the beach open, and there is one side still...More

The beach was quiet but the water was teeming with life! We saw rays, green turtles as close as a few feet from you when they surfaced in 8’ of water! Lots of fish around the point!

As others have said, Maho is still in recovery but making progress literally every day. Workers are repairing the road and building a new building. Still a lot of debris everywhere, but still beautiful. Get there early and you'll find a shady spot. Parking is...More

Most cruises are docked in St Thomas - you would take a ferry to St John and a taxi ride (great views of island on way) to Maho. Be sure to find out from your cruise director how much time you have as well as the ferry and... More
