Overview
More
The good news: this world-class stretch of white sand and turquoise water is St. John's most photographed beach, which features a marked underwater trail for beginning snorkelers. The bad news: because of its popularity, it can get very crowded with cruise ship passengers and members of sightseeing tours.

Not much shade but beautiful. Restrooms open and booth open selling chairs to rent, and snorkel equipment.

Soft sand and the clearest water I’ve seen! Not a busy beach for how absolutely beautiful it is. #nofilter

This is a very beautiful beach. The snorkeling is wonderful. Soft white sand. Not real crowded. Hard to find any place as beautiful and relaxing.

Love, love, love trunk bay. The view is amazing the sand is like white fine sugar and the snorkeling trail is the best. Must stop if you're in the Virgin islands. The little snack shop right off the beach is nice to have as well,...More

Just returned from our 24th year in St. John. Post hurricanes, this is still one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The foliage has been damaged which makes the beach even wider (but with no shade). It is the best beach to stay...More

Aqua marine water, white sand and glorious sunshine are still wonderful. Most of the lovely sea grapes were destroyed in the hurricane so there is very limited shade - take big beach umbrellas.

Be sure to visit the underwater trail. We love to snorkel all the way around the little islands. Expect to see rays and tons of fish - more fish than you can imagine! Gorgeous white sand.

This beach is the most beautiful beach I have ever been to, period! The snorkeling is fantastic around the Cay and there are different areas of the beach to escape to so it provides a lot of variety.

I would say Cruz Bay. Almost all the bars and restaurants are open at Mongoose Junction as well as the ones that line the street. Longboard, Margarita Phil's, Cruz Bay Landing.
