The good news: this world-class stretch of white sand and turquoise water is St. John's most photographed beach, which features a marked underwater trail for beginning snorkelers. The bad news: because of its popularity, it can get very crowded with cruise ship passengers and members of sightseeing tours.

The most beautiful beach I have ever visited

I adore trunk beach- however it does get a little crowded when the cruise ships are in town. Still worth it.

We were fortunate to visit Trunk Bay on a calm day when the waves were low, the sky was bright blue and the water a stunning aqua. The sheer beauty of the bay was enough to make it worth the trip to get there. We didn't bring our snorkel gear, but wished we had. The next two times we tried... More

I've been to many beaches in the Caribbean but this is one of my favorites. We took a ferry from St. Thomas to St. John mainly for this and it was totally worth it. The water was crystal clear and the sand looked and felt amazing. I hope I'll get a chance to go back soon!

Blue water white sand and lots of sun. Claim your spot and enjoy. National park but food and beverages reasonable. Snorkel rentals available. Hard to imagine you could find a better beach.

Wow....that's about all you can say about this beautiful beach. Any pictures do not do it justice. The white sand and turquoise water are definitely a must see. Go early to beat the crowds. Rent some chairs, snorkel equipment and just enjoy the beauty that is!

This beach has it all,. Underwater trail. Snack bar Bar Snorkeling rental Grills and tables. Almost every day someone is married here too. Get here before 10 am to get a parking spot and after 4 pm you own the beach. 🌊 It is a national park so there is a small entrance fee. If your staying on island 🌴... More

This is a must stop for a day, or multiple if you have the time. Pristine water and super soft white sand beach. No rocks anywhere. One of the clearest waters you'll ever see. Great snorkeling with visibility around 60 feet. Protected cove with little chop and wind. Great for kids and older as well. $5.00 day pass, it's a... More

This was the most relaxing day of my USVI stay so far. Just laying here made all my tension melt away. The only bummer is the amenities closes at 430pm. I wish it was open longer. You can rent beach chairs for $10 (with a $50 deposit, yikes!) and also snorkel gear. There is a great little snack shop. The... More
