This place use to be on of the nicest beaches with shade and little huts to spend your money. Now this was one of the worst hit bays on the island. All the shade trees are gone and all of the food huts/retail shop is...More

They are open at the beach. Many of the buildings are destroyed. Looks like they don’t plan to rebuild. That is too bad. The beach is still beautiful.

We stopped at Cinnamon Bay briefly to see how it was. The campground and facilities were badly damaged and repairs and reconstruction had not yet begun. But the beach is still one of the loveliest on the island and it seemed deeper and whiter after...More

This is an easy to access beach with pretty views and easy parking nearby. We found the current so strong, however, that we were uncomfortable trying to swim here. Great location for a picnic and dip to cool off though.

Even though Trunk Bay is the famous one, Cinnamon is the best. Why? Less tourists since it's further away means it's usually fairly sparse with people. Your backdrop is forest, and your view is wide white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters. There's even...More

We traveled to St John before the hurricane and are wishing a speedy recovery. Cinnamon Bay is beautiful, it can get full pretty early though. The snorkeling is really nice, lots of sea critters. It is a must if you are visiting!

The housing was kind of typical for a national park, but perhaps was is bit less upscale. We stayed on the concrete block housing, although we could have saved money and stayed in a tent. We also stayed at Maho Bay which was much nicer.

We were vacationing there last spring and summer. We met some friends and it is a real struggle for them because they survive and count on the tourism. We love that place and hope to be back soon!,

I have not been to any STJ beach at any time of day that resembles anything like this. most are deserted in the evening. Ive gone to the beach after dinner and have practically had the place to myself.
