Bay Street is the busiest street in Nassau. There are shops of all kind, mostly high end or cheap t-shirt types. There are a number of restaurants of all kinds to chose from..

My family enjoyed shopping on Bay St. during our recent cruise. A nice mix of upscale shops along with your typical Caribbean gift/tshirt shops. Our family are big fans of Cariloha bamboo clothing and made some purchases there. My wife picked up some Tanzanite earrings/necklace...More

I was very disappointed by Nassau and this shopping street, There are too many shops selling expensive watches and the "straw market" is really just a T-shirt and junk area. I guess if we would have rented a taxi and asked to be driven around...More

Busy street where you can find souvenirs and also designer brand stores. Worth a stroll to see the pastel coloured local buildings and architecture.

When you are visiting Nassau, this street is not to be missed or under estimated. Located close to the cruise port, if you are in the market for local cusine and hand-made gifts this is the place to shop.

If you are visiting on a cruise, it is not a bad idea to stretch your legs and see what is on offer. You don't have to buy anything extortionate. We bought a few local items to take back with us and were very happy...More

Not sure what the question really was. But Bay street is safe during the day but early evenings may not be to bad if you are use to city life (I'm originally from Philly & have been to Iraq) because it is a tourist area of... More
