The beach has a convenient store next to it, a little pricey but it is an island. The beach is so beautiful you can rent chairs for $10 each and umbrellas for $20. The stairs to get to the beach are very bad, the bottom step is huge and you have to jump down onto unsecure wood pallets, saw many... More

We visited Paradise when our cruise ship had docked in Nassau for the day. Famous for its millionaire mansions and Atlantis, the access to the public beach is a good 20-30 mins walk away from the ferry boat pier. Beach was over crowded. Waves were very strong and swimming was difficult. As soon as you hit the beach you are... More

I spent several days with friends while sunning on Cabbage Beach. We were allowed Atlantis lounge chairs and every once in a while a nice young man would ask if we wanted a cocktail. The water was not rough but calm enough to jump the waves. One of our party was a 12-year-old autistic boy. The officials on the beach... More

We were in Nassau on a Royal Caribbean cruise and decided we wanted to just go for a short beach outing. We caught a cab from the terminal ($7pp one way) and had them drop us at Cabbage Beach. There is a short rocky/sandy patch from the road back to the beach so make sure your group doesn't have any... More

Gorgeous beach! Quiet and not heavily populated...the locals have all you can drink for $20 and sell lounge chair and umbrella rentals as well. The waters are a little rough to swim in though so beware!

the trick to cabbage beach is to move away from the first public access down to the 2nd. far fewer people - in fact at the end there is a cove that is wave free. Water is beautiful. Temperature great. Loved it there.

The beach and water are fantastic, as expected. We knew it would be crowded but Wow that is an understatement. You are not more than 2 steps from the towel of the next person. And expect a volume of locals selling about everything. What was also unexpected was the heavy waves. Our kids loved the crashing waves and getting hit... More

A lovely clean Beach but busy, busy, busy. It takes about 15 min from Nassau port with a taxi over the bridge to paradise island. The taxi driver tries to get the taxi bus full, approximately 10 people and you pay 4$/per one way. It's not shallow water, it goes from walking in to deep pretty fast. Would not go... More

We entered the beach at the public entrance just outside of Atlantis. YUK! Be prepared to get hounded by locals trying to sell you a drink pass, use of umbrellas and chairs. That would all be fine if the area was larger but it felt completely claustrophobic. My suggestion is to take a very long walk down the beach away... More

We were in Nassau for a day during a cruise... we were looking for a free or low fee beach access. The water is beautiful, but the beach had trash/glass. There were a group of men in the wooded area near the entrance watching tourist that made us feel uneasy. The locals would not leave us alone. They kept coming... More
