The marketplace was a nice place to visit. The shopping was limited but good for touristy things like souvenirs. There were a couple of boutique style stores and a number of restaurants all worth sampling.

I didn't find much straw! Prices were negotiable and needs to be. Not much authenticity. See Beverly for braiding 😊. REMEMBER!!!! Everything here is imported!

Port Lucaya Marketplace has many different offerings from jewelry to restaurants. Definitely spend some time checking it out. The "Straw Market" is an experience in itself. Most every vendor is selling the same or very similar products. Prices vary greatly. Some vendors do have higher...More

The straw market here is nice. The people here are very polite and nice. Lots of amazing products hand made. If you go later the prices are better. There's nice little restaurants here but we didn't eat there.

Open market where it is nice to walk around ; we can find restaurants and small shops. Not far from the beach.

I don't think most of the shops open much before 10 am...but there are lots of taxi's and taxi vans, etc at the port. Is only about a 15-20 minute trip to Port Lucaya, and I think about $10 round trip.
