This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Our family has been to several islands and beaches in the U.S. no comparisons. Crystal clear waters and white sand. Very calm.

No thanks. Costs 12.00 to get in and drink and eat. If you want to do anything else it's extra... which I understand. Costs 28.00 for 2 beach chairs and umbrella. I'm really not sure what I paid 12.00 per person for.... I guess to spend more money. We ended up going to The Sand Bar and had a great time.

We stayed December 11-18, 2022. We were looking forward to this get away due to having recently experienced a loss in our family. A couple of weeks before we went Ocean of Taino Beach Resort we were called and we asked to give up one of our suites. We had already paid for 2 suites through a vacation plan and would not be reimbursed unless we gave up one of the suite 60 days prior. However the office at the Ocean Taino Beach assured us we would be reimbursed. We felt pressured into doing so. The one suite was big enough; for we did not have the number of people we thought we would have. We felt the resort had overbooked but we reserved our rooms in July.
The suite we received looked very bad. Water was dripping from the vents. Floor was always wet. The appliances were rusty, very old. The paint was peeling off the cabinets. The kitchen table was broken. We were not impressed.
We would not recommend this to anyone.

Always wanted to go to the Bahamas; chose Freeport over Nassau for the first trip. Booked a flight/hotel package.
The flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Freeport was ~30 minutes. Bahamian immigration was easy; I received a 1 week visa. All the airport officials were very easy to speak to.
After a short taxi ride, I arrived at the Flamingo Hotel and Marina by Taino Beach. This is a complex of four hotels that share a common pool, restaurant, beach area, and other amenities. Note number 1; bring lots of cash. The Bahamian dollar is accepted on a par with the US dollar, and many (taxis) do not accept credit cards.
My room was on the third floor facing the marina and canal. Note number 2: the hotel has no elevator. Check-in was easy; $20 key deposit. There is a gift shop in the lobby, but open with spotty hours. The room was simple and clean; daily maid service.
The amenities were very good. The pool is 4.5 feet at its deepest and has a slight current that is great for a flotation device. There is a nice water slide; I tried it. There are plenty of lounge chairs, a shower and lavatories right there. The beach is cleaned every morning that I was there. Jet skis are available to rent.
During the afternoon, especially when a cruise ship arrives, there are activities provided around the pool area. There is a small playground. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch only. A water taxi runs every hour or so to Port Lucaya and back. $8 round trip.
I relaxed, hung out at the pool, got up early to swim in the ocean at sunrise (beautiful), and took the water taxi to Port Lucaya in the heat of a Sunday afternoon.
There are SCUBA diving operations nearby. I booked a dive but it was cancelled for lack of enough divers. Oh well, next trip.
Leaving Freeport was also easy. Everyone I met during these three days was friendly and helpful.
I shall return...

Gorgeous beach with great food shacks either on the sand or the road in front of it
Lovely beach, often very private - not a lot of people, so tranquil

It is as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. You wont be disappointed. Clean white sand and blue/green waters as far as the eye can see.

This beach was gorgeous. It was groomed so there was no seaweed as other reviewers noted. Beautiful white soft sand and clear turquoise water.
There is a public beach volleyball net for anyone to use and a little kids gated park across the street.
4 stars only because the two restaurants (Tony Macaroni & The O Grill Bar) open at 2pm so we were very hungry.
We brought out beach chairs, towels & tunes and enjoyed the day.
Thé water park is closed due to covid.

This was hyped up by the "vacation club" folks, but it was covered with dirty seaweed while we visited. Compared to our typical vacation spots, this was dirty and uninviting.

Hi, We (a family of 4) will be arriving in Freeport for 5&1/2 hours via Carnival in a month. We would like to how much it cost to get to Taino Beach via taxi? Do we need to arrange pick up with the driver to get back? Also, where is the public access point (if it still exists after Dorian) to get to the beach?

I was there in April and they were still recovering from Matthew...I would image they were since the resort is in Freeport and Dorian lingered there for many hrs

By taxi it took about 15 minutes. I don’t know about the water taxi. 2 chairs and one umbrella rental cost us $20. I think I heard additional chairs were $5. They have free Wi-Fi but it’s spotty and very slow.

We will be arriving at the cruise port next week. Have a party of 6, what is the cost of a ride to Taino Beach (either taxis or shuttle)? Can't seem to get one answer! Also, I understand there is a way to enter the beach for free. Can anyone advise on these questions? Thank you

We paid 7$ for the shuttle to the beach each person. But you can entertain the beach through the restaurant for free or even walk on the side of the restaurant straight to the beach.. just don’t go the way the shuttle driver tells you to.. and don’t buy anything from the ship
How long is the cab ride from the Carnival Cruise port? About how much round trip?

We rented a car for the week. Not sure how much they would charge for taxi. Cruise port 15 to 20 minutes away.

Looking at doing an excursion through carnival that is done by the Bahamas Adventure company on Taino Beach. In one of the pictures, there is a girl holding a Macaw and an iguana. Has anything seen this while at the beach?

Hay playas públicas en Freeport? O hay que pagar para ingresar a ellas?

Hay que pagar pero no es costoso, recuerdo que eran como 15 dólares por persona y por silla y sombrilla, pero era menos dinero si solo era la entrada.

Why can’t I find prices for the resort anywhere? Is this a private club only?

We visited for lunch. Took the ferry there. Then sat on the beach after for a couple hours.
