But be ready for everyone to try and stop you. They all carry almost the same items. Make sure you barter with them!

If you want a souvenir or three you don't have to walk far to find this huge straw and Art market. Each vendor will try and get you to look at their wares which are probably exactly the same as the stalls either side but it's fun.

The people do offer you to buy from them every time... More

Visited twice on 11/15/2016 & 11/18/2016 from Paradise Island. Location: It is located 2 shorts blocks from the docks. It is inside a large building with rows and rows of small 'shops'. Clean bathrooms - at least in the morning. Shopping (or Bargaining): Every seller is going to mark the price up, as a smart shopper it is your duty... More

The Straw Market is simply EXHAUSTING! We had no clue what we were doing and were attacked by every vendor there. They all attack saying "buy from me" and when you say no, some get hateful with you. They dont take no for an answer and by the time you make it out of there or even passing by you... More

Right near the cruise ship area, this place is pretty big. It has all the wood carvings and handicraft souvenirs that you may want.

Actually bought a straw (plastic weave I think) hat because the sun was too much, and a couple of T-shirts as souveniers for son. Shops had the same junk over and over, why would anyone want shot glasses or salt and pepper made in China as Bahamian souveniers -- buy a dry starfish or conch shell from a vendor walking... More

This market consists of about 100 small shops that sell T-shirts, salt and pepper shaker, sea shells, and picture frames.....Most of the shops sell the same items, so going through a couple of them and you find yourself seeing the such items over and over again.
